So far 1230 Vaccinated in 21 Special Camps Organised in the Mandis
Procurement Agencies’ Staff, Arhtiyas, Farmers and Laborers Get Jabs of Vaccine

This time during the wheat procurement season the district administration is taking all possible precautions to prevent COVID. While farmers are being urged to bring their produce in the mandis as per their turn, special vaccination camps are also being set up in the mandis to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic besides screening of their temperature and other symptoms. So far more than 1230 persons have been vaccinated to prevent them from COVID in 21 camps organised in the mandis of the district.
Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit is personally monitoring the vaccination drive while Civil Surgeon Dr. Satinder Singh, District Immunization Officer Dr. Veenu Goyal, District Marketing Officer Ajaypal Singh Brar and DFSC Harsharanjit Singh Brar have also been visiting these vaccination camps to motivate the farmers, Arhtiyas, labourers and procurement staff for getting them vaccinated.
District Mandi Officer Ajaypal Singh Brar said that COVID vaccination camp has been set up today at Bhadson and on April 19 at Patiala mandi. He said that so far, 21 camps have been conducted in the mandis of the district where 1230 Arhtiyas, farmers, labourers and members of procurement staff have so far been vaccinated.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kumar Amit appealed to the farmers to take precautionary measures against COVID while visiting the mandis and also to ensure that all persons above the age of 45 years could be vaccinated against COVID.
Dr. Veenu Goyal added that about 1.5 lakh perosns have taken the COVID Vaccination jabs so far and we are regularly setting up vaccination camps in urban and rural areas to ramp up the vaccination drive.
